About this website
www.purohitam.ca is the personal website of Purohit Surendharan Ravi Iyer (Surya), a Vedic priest serving Hindu families across Canada and USA.
By browsing this website or sending an enquiry through it, you agree to the terms on this page. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Enquiries and confirmation
Every form, WhatsApp message or call on this site is a request, not a confirmed booking. A date and timing is confirmed only after I reply and we agree on it directly.
Availability and auspicious timing are decided together. If a date is already taken, I will suggest the nearest suitable option.
Dakshina
There is no fixed amount for dakshina. The sankalpa and the intention to uphold your family tradition is what matters, and each family offers according to their own situation.
Travel outside the usual service area may need to be arranged in advance so I can reach you comfortably and on time.
Your part
Please share accurate names, gotra details, address and date so the ritual can be performed correctly.
A quiet, clean and safe space for the ritual, and honest information about the occasion, helps everything proceed with the respect it deserves.
Changes and cancellation
If your plan changes, tell me as early as you can and I will do my best to move the date.
In rare cases of illness, weather, travel disruption or an unavoidable temple obligation, I may need to reschedule. I will inform you at once and, where possible, arrange another qualified priest of the same tradition.

Legal wedding officiating is offered separately from traditional rituals and is subject to the registration rules that apply in your province or state. Any statutory paperwork remains the responsibility of the couple.
